  • Summary: This book, first from the DRAWING, PROJECT AND ARCHITECTURE collection, is published after the second and fourth volume of this, and captures the experience of DRAWING AS A CRITICAL PRACTICE, DRAWING AS A PROCESS, and DRAWING TO PROJECT a series of students who put their interest in learning drawing as a knowledge tool? for the architect, and is part of an ambitious project to leave traces of the experiences linked to the drawing of the project? in its germinal stages, while pretending to be a reference, and establish a link between thinking strategies and drawing strategies as an active and operational mechanism in project activity. The publication materializes the result of the development of an educational innovation project funded by the Polytechnic University of Madrid, from the Vice-Chancellor of Academic Management and Strategic Planning, Call 2010 of Aid to the Educational Innovation and the Improvement of the Quality of Teaching, whose application was intended, as the title of the project, to capture an innovative teaching experience, based on the "DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF SPECIFIC FORMATIVE ACTIONS IN EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION FOR THE DOCENCE OF THE ? DRAW TO PROJECT? IN THE DAI 1 AND DAI 2 SUBJECTS OF THE ETSAM". The PIE focused its research on the teaching developments of the subjects Drawing, Analysis and Ideation 1 (DAI 1) and Drawing, Analysis and Ideation 2 (DAI 2), first-year core subjects of the Degree of Degree of Architecture Studies of the 2010 Plan of the UPM, at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura in Madrid, and specifically in the academic year 2010-11, and in the Teaching Unit of professors Javier Fco Raposo Grau, Belén Butragueño Díaz-Guerra and Miguel Paredes Maldonado, recognising in this publication developments of the DAI 1 subject. This project and its result, which materializes in this publication, is linked to the global objectives of the Innovation and Research Group "HYPERMEDIA: Workshop of Architectural Configuration", and is a consecutive project of the parent project of our Educational Innovation group, which has been materializing in different project developments addressed since the call for the start of the aforementioned educational innovation projects in 2005, and whose results have been presented in the different final memoirs of the conclusion of them. The different teaching strategies proposed and the operational mechanisms of implementation, through them, make it possible that the experience shown is unique and unrepeatable, but on the other hand, that a relationship can be established between the results obtained and their different executions, as a product of different action procedures, which are subsequently developed linked to reflection and architectural criticism.
