  • Summary: Uncertainty, indeterminacy and change are the raw material of any creative act. This is the demure of the fantastic advances that radical pedagogies have generated throughout the history of architecture. Their success is determined, in large part, by students' willingness to embrace uncertainty and start a path to the unknown. However, in a society as ademidated as today, learning has been over-guided and creativity has been lethadled. Current pedagogical systems are based on behavioral methodologies, focused on immediate results. This implies that, prior to the application of any type of pedagogy, teachers must predispose students to embrace indeterminacy and leave the safety net of determinism and control, to value the process above the result, to leave the area comfort.

  • Abstract: The uncertainty and indeterminacy and change are the prime material of any creative act. So is proven by the fantastic progress that radical pedagogies have achieved throughout the history of the architecture. Their success is determined, largely, by the willingness of students to embrace the uncertainty and start a path towards the unknown. However, in a society as wealthy as the current one, education has been scheduled in excess and creativity has been lethargic. The current educational systems are based on behavioral methodologies, focused on immediate results. This implies that prior to the application of any type of pedagogy, teachers must predispose pupils to embrace the indeterminacy and leave the safety net of the determinism and control, to value the process over the outcome, to get out of the comfort zone.
