  • Summary: This work aims to study the relationships and influences that are established between the conception of contemporary architecture and information and communication technologies by pointing out the profound transformations produced by them. The method of conducting this research tracks the evolution of aesthetic theories from modernity by verifying a process that leads to the aesthetics of virtual objects. In this process, the relationship between the most significant trends in architecture from the 1960s with a theory of communication based on pure-visual parameters is tested in this process. The digital code is an absolute visual code so the project process completely produced by computer is subjected to a review claiming the bodily experience of the architecture. There is, however, some possibility of optimizing new technologies in the configuration of more human and better habitable spaces.
  • Keywords: Architectural, visual, virtual, body space.
  • Abstract: This paper aims to study the relationships and influences that are required between the conception of contemporary architecture and information and communication technologies, pointing out the profound transformations produced by them. The method to carry out this research tracks the evolution of aesthetic theories from modernity verifying a process that leads to the aesthetics of virtual objects. In this process, the relationship between the most important trends in architecture from the sixties on a theory of communication based on pure-visual parameters is verified in a critical key. The digital code is an absolute visual code so the project process completely produced by computer undergoes a review claiming the body’s experience of architecture. There is, however, some possibility of improving new technologies in the configuration of more human and better habitable spaces.
