    Methodology and pedagogical tools

The educational innovation of the project was to understand learning away from the drill turning the course exercise into a real commission: the design of an event as a complex cross-cutting activity with times, responsibilities and commitments that should be solved by the team addressing from the theoretical contents, the design of the communicative dynamics and the interaction with different agents to the spatial and environmental project of an event imbued with a character between the scientific and the playful-festive. The teaching methodology has been based on the self-organization of an international and heterogeneous group of students and the success in exploiting this heterogeneity of faculties and skills of each of the team members naturally in each of the areas of work and decision-making.

  • Abstract: Teaching experience proposedArchitecture has ceased to be exclusively a product of design and construction becoming a vehicle for social social action. Communication and mediation are key in this process. The role of architects is now related with work in interdisciplinary teams not with personal authorship. The proposal presented in this call is a real event that has been developed in a horizontal workshop between professors and students in the field of the subject Global Communication Project in the Master of Architectural Comunication, during the academic year 2016-2017. It is an international congress that sought to create common spaces among multiple disciplines and social agents in order to investigate the mediation and communication in architecture.Development of the teaching experience

The learning experience sought to cover the different formats and strategies of communication through the global design of a multi-event that included the organization of a congress together with an exhibition and several workshops and urban actions. In this way, it’s aimed to exercise the various specific and transversal competences in the field of communication, from graphic design and the creation of a corporate image to the dissemination strategy, the staging and presentation of the different contents.

    Methodology and pedagogical tools

The educational innovation of the project was to understand the learning away from the simulation turning the exercise of course into a real assignment: the design of an event as a complex transversal activity times, responsibilities and commitments that had to be solved by the team addressing from the theoretical contents, the design of the communicative dynamics and the interaction with different agents until the spatial and environmental project of an event found between a scientific and a ludic-festive character.  The teaching methodology has been based on the self-organization of an international and heterogeneous group of students and the success in exploiting this heterogeneity of faculties and abilities of each of the team members in a natural way in each one of the work areas and in the decision making.
