  • Summary: This work is part of the methodologies in the teaching-learning process, as well as technological innovation. The goal is twofold. On the one hand, we try to show how we use the discussion tool of the teaching-learning platform of the Virtual Campus of the University of Alicante in the context of the online training of translators for the field of economics and business. On the other hand, we value the suitability of this tool in the aforementioned context, especially in terms of the use that teachers can make, with the intention of proposing different points of development that could eventually help to optimize the process of teaching-learning of the agents involved in the use of the discussion tool. This work can be of interest not only to teachers, but also to the developers of this type of tools, who, to adjust their functionalities to the needs of their users, need the feedback of the latter.
