  • Summary: This contribution addresses the incompatibility of computer drawing with the configuration of the experiential space drawn with the hand as an extension of the body. We provide a teaching experience of drawing to project in architecture. Digital code, as we know, is an abstract language, originated in mathematics whose signs and operations do not describe qualities of the subject. The use of the design software implies that the architect depends on a supplier that provides him with a means of whose structure he is foreign. The means of projecting is a metalanguage whose structure it does not have access to. According to Deleuze, the digital space would be the ultimate subordination of hand to eye, the hand that has melted. Only one finger remains to trade the visual binary choice. The hand is reduced to the finger that rests on the keyboard, it is the computer hand, it is the finger without hand. If the digital language is fully articulated and conventional, only operates with models, the conflict occurs at the moment that the architectural drawing is the project of something that does not exist and does not represent any pre-existing object…
  • Abstract: This contribution deals with the incompatibility of computer drawing with the configuration of the living space traced with the hand as an extension of the body. We provide a teaching experience of drawing to project in architecture. The digital code, as we know, is an abstract language, originated in mathematics whose whose signs and operations do not describe qualities of the subject. The use of software to project implies that the architect depends on a supplier that provides him with a medium whose whose structure is foreign. The means to project is a metalanguage whose structure has no access. According to Deleuze, the digital space would be the maximum subordination of the hand to the eye, the hand that has been fused. Only one finger remains to operate the visual binary choice. The hand is reduced to the finger that rests on the keyboard, it is the computer hand, it is the finger without a hand. If the digital language is fully articulated and conventional, it only operates with models, the conflict occurs at the moment when the architectural drawing is a project of something that does not exist and does not represent any pre-existing object …
